Advertising

Consider a small town where in everyone own atleast one apple tree. And almost all apples are found similar in every ways. Since it is being owned by everyone no one made a big fuss about their apple's features like appearance, taste, etc.,

But to every one's surprise later it was found that a single tree alone yielded fruits which were delicious to the core. But this was unknown to people for a long time due to lack of awareness in advertising.

Often, In Indian conservative families, kids are always told not to advertise things. And are advised to have everything low. So, I feel that indirectly people inculcate the habit of considering the act of advertising(i mean breaking out and telling the people around you that u have something unique) is something which we are not supposed to do.

At some point of time, It ends up like even though we have some talents it gets deteriorated and destroyed without others realizing it which is equivalent to not having it.

So, I think we should change. Its the right time we change. I will have to develop the interest in notifying others about my positive skills.....

Childhood - Innocence @ its best

No wonder, Childhood ventures of everyone have always been rightly compared with innocence which has no definite limit. Following list of events will describe some of the adventurous, foolish, crazy but interesting false/fake believes/myths, deeds of some (adventurous) kids who grew up to relatively intelligent oldies who can only talk of adventures :).
Here we go,
It is said that kids have a strong observation power... Luckily I had a chance to visibly realise it through my sister. Appo, She was hardly 2 and Her observation skills took a step ahead and she had started enacting whatever was seen. For instance, After visiting a doctor she would arrange the table the way the doctors table was arranged and she will scribble something on a piece of paper assuming it to be some valid prescriptions. On visiting a clothing center she used to stand up on the chair, yell some random name and throw a pile of clothes(வீடு முழுக்க துணி எரஞ்சதால அவ திட்டு வாங்கினத பத்தி இங்க சொல்லமாட்டேன் :)) replicating the business carried out in the local clothing center.
Off late, I happened to hear a hilarious, strange childhood myth of one of my friend. He had spent a part of his childhood days in Ambala it seems. There happened to be a bird namely "Lapwing" which lays the eggs on the ground after setting it up with some stones and dried stuffs instead of having it in a tree. There was a strange belief that, if the stone lying beneath the birds nest was dropped in a river, All the stones except for one will be drowned. The floating stone should be rubbed and if the extract is applied on a person's forehead, He/She will become invisible!!! Interesting. To my surprise, he believed it so much that, While on a visit to a nearby forest(பெரிய ஹண்டர்ஸ்னு நெனப்பு மனசுல) along with his crew members(ஊருல உள்ள பொடுசுங்க தான்) and brave dog "Leela"(worth mentioning) accidentally found this bird's nest. விடுவாரா என்ன?? நம்ம ஹீரோ!!! He somehow with the help of relatively brave kids got the stones. இவரோட தேடல் இன்னும் முடியல, He after taking those stones was crazy searching for the river but didn find one. அப்ப கூட நம்ம ஹீரோ மனம் தலரல. He had secured those stones in his box. One fine day, Their family got shifted to Trichy. He was lucky enough to have the river very near to his home. And guess what??? His first action is to become invisible. So with lot of anticipation he rushed to the river and shed all the stones and completely disappointed to see all the stones drowning deep into the river.
இதுக்கெல்லாம் நான் மட்டும் கொரஞ்சவளா என்ன?? I was waiting for the sun during night time to come and dry my writing slate after it was wiped with a damp cloth. நம்ம அலம்பல் எப்பிடி??

In spite of the craziness, silliness, etc., innocence at childhood is so precious, beautiful in its own way.

Come on makkals, let me hear some interesting வாலுத்தனம் of yours.

The Tribute !!!

"Teacher"னு சொன்னாலே நமக்கு என்னவோ school teachers தான் நினைவுக்கு வராங்க...
Yeah this post is for them. அம்மா, ப்லீஸ்....நான் ஸ்கூலுக்கு போக மாட்டேன்னு கெஞ்சினாலும் சரி, உருண்டு பெரண்டு அழுதாலும் சரி அம்மா நம்மல தர தரனு இழுத்து கொண்டு விட்டு ஆரம்பிக்கபடும் நமது பள்ளி வாழ்க்கை, போக போக நமக்கு எந்த அளவுக்கு பிடிக்குதுனா, we want to go to school even on saturdays and sundays.
I do have some favourite teachers for my own reasons.

We had someone namely Ms.Begum teaching us tamil. The way she handles the classes and the students, Chance less. She is a kind of very jovial, casual and strict(at times). Most of the time we talk about movies, directors etc., and some how she manages to link it with our subject especially to the grammar part in Tamil. Unlike any other teachers neither did she made us read question and answers nor did she made us to read at home. Yes, we will be learning the entire book without cramming up any facts right in the classroom itself. She will finish of all the portions well before the estimated time and then we will be playing lots of games which involves lots of physical and mental exercises. Attending her class will be like a rejuvenating session for all of us. So everyone would love to attend her class.

Then Ms.Uma Prabhakar handling the english classes which gave me, kind of different insight to the language. She made the dull boring english class to a very interactive and creative one. Then our Rajeshwari ma'am for biology.

I've always admired them but unfortunately none influenced me(might be some problem with me???).

"Explanation of the mechanism of a bird flight by my teacher helped me to set my career goal" said our beloved Abdul Kalam. You can also note that this doesn't influence any other student in the same class.

As we started with our college life somehow the gratitude and respect on the teachers slowly fades away. May be we have grown enough to judge them ;)...

இதனால சகல மக்களுக்கு என்ன சொல்ல வரேனா, "Happy Teacher's Day" :)

குரங்கு மனசு!!!

Unlike any other day, she found that the city bus was literally struggling to creep down the city streets buzzing with traffic. After travelling for few miles she managed to get a window seat and started relaxing. As the bus started moving away from city she can feel the breeze and started thinking about how bad was her day at office and all that.

Her thought was suddenly disturbed by a sight at the road side. She saw a woman equivalent in her age digging the ground for some constructional purpose. On seeing this, she very strongly felt that her work is not as hard as what she saw. She felt quite relieved and pride of her achievements and her social status. She has always been a bright student all through her life and got a pretty descent job which she intended for. Till now she has been performing her duties so much religiously that she is playing so much roles like an affectionate wife, caring mom of two kids, responsible employee, patriotic citizen ,etc., with utmost perfection. She felt like patting her own shoulders for all these.

Just then she heard a baby crying, and lady working on the road side rushed to a nearby tree in which the baby lied in a cradle made of an old cotton cloth and lifted the tender skinned baby, patted it gently and made it to sleep again. Lady in the bus now was now like 'Come on man, work and family at the same place'. She found it was an amazing idea and felt guilty of not able to take care of her kids when she was away for work and felt the lady working on the roadside was more fortunate than she herself.
